Players that are looking for a place where they can play football don't need to look any further than the Greenjackets.
The Glens Falls Greenjackets have a time-honored tradition dating back to the 1928. Our goal is to continue that tradition and provide the local communities the opportunity to be entertained by a class organization playing great football. While everyone that plays for the Greenjackets Football Team plays for "The Love of the Game," the Jackets have provided players with an opportunity to improve their skills and move on to play professional football for over 80 years.

There is no other semi pro team in the country that has more dedicated staff or resources than the Greenjackets. The Jackets provide quality trainers, a full equipment staff, excellent coaches, and much more. The team also provides travel for away games.

In addition, no other minor league football team in America has better support than the Greenjackets. You'll have the opportunity to play on a home field that has hosted Major League Baseball (MLB) farm teams at East Field in Glens Falls, New York. We play in the Empire Football League, have won several Empire Division Championships, and had numerous players voted as All-stars. The Greenjackets are a nationally recognized semi-pro football team in the country by three major polls.

We play 10 regular season games and up to three playoff games, starting in June, at East Field Stadium. Practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year at Glens Falls High School

We will have a tryout on February 4th, 6PM- 830PM at Chase Sports Complex in South Glens Falls. A $25 tryout fee will be assessed and all players must attend if interested in playing. Our next informational meeting will be January 12th, 7PM, at
Carl R’s off I-87 North Exit 18.

The Greenjackets have expectations of all members of the Greenjacket family.
The Jackets are extremely active in the community and our players are very visible members of the community. You are role models to children in the community and are expected to be excellent citizens. Players are expected to participate in community events that take place throughout the season. We participate in a variety of fairs and festivals, parades, camps, and numerous other events in the community.
