Very few football players are fortunate enough to make it to the National Football League (NFL). While more and more indoor leagues have provided more options to play the game you love for money, you might need a way to get there.

While everyone that plays for the Greenjackets Football Team plays for "The Love of the Game," the Jackets have provided players with an opportunity to improve their skills and move on to play professional football for over 80 years. The Jackets have helped players reach the NFL and various indoor leagues.

Players that are looking for a place where they can just play football, don't need to look any further than the Greenjackets. There is no other adult amateur team in the country that has more dedicated staff or resources than the Greenjackets. The Jackets provide quality trainers, a full equipment staff, excellent coaches for each position, and much more. The team also provides travel for away games.

In addition, no other minor league football team in America has a larger fan base or better support than the Greenjackets. The Jackets average 1,500 fans per game and play at one of the most historic facilities in football, professional or amateur. You'll have the opportunity to play on a home field that has hosted Major League Baseball (MLB) farm teams have even played at Historic East Field in Glens Falls, New York.

Practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year at Sherman Ave across from Glens Falls High School until September when moved indoor to Chase Sports Complex.

We will have 2 tryout dates in 2010 on April 14th and 28th at Chase Sports Complex in South Glens Falls. A $25 tryout fee will be assessed and all players must attend at least 1 of the available tryouts.

The Greenjackets have expectations of all members of the Greenjacket family. The Jackets are extremely active in the community and our players are very visible members of the community. You are role models to children in the community and are expected to be excellent citizens. Players are expected to participate in community events that take place throughout the season. We participate in a variety of fairs and festivals, parades, camps, and numerous other events in the community.
